If you are comparing having your existing machine repaired or replacing it with a machine that is comparable in price with what you paid for your machine 10 or so years ago, you will not be making a valid comparison. The machines are neither similar in quality nor durability for the same price. If you were to merely replace your existing appliance with one that costs about what you paid a decade ago, you'll be repairing or junking the new machine every three to four years. You'll either have to pay more up front for a new, high-quality machine that will give you another 10 years of trouble-free operation or you pay less up front for a low-end machine and then pay-as-you-go for repairs.

Your washer is actually combining hot water and cold water to create the warm water and during certain times of the year cold water gets colder. So, during the colder months, you can expect your warm cycle to run cooler. You might also want to check to see if there is anything blocking the hot water coming into your machine.

The smell is caused by the grease and food that your oven is burning off. When possible, it is a good idea to create additional ventilation in the kitchen when cleaning your oven, perhaps by opening windows and/or doors.

In many cases ice makers will stop working if the water line is clogged or turned off. You can find out by making sure that the water supply line is not shut off. It's also possible the water filter of the ice maker is clogged. It's best to call an appliance repair near you for same day ice maker repair services.

If your dryer is tumbling but no longer producing heat, your first suspect should be the thermal fuse. The thermal fuse is installed in dryers as a safety device. If the temperature gets too high in the dryer, the thermal fuse will trip in an effort to prevent a fire. Once this happens, the dryer will still function very much as normal, but the tripped fuse prevents the heating elements from receiving any power, so it will produce no heat. Failure to investigate and address why the thermal fuse was tripped is not only likely to result in more blown thermal fuses but means your dryer will remain a potential fire hazard.

A blocked defrost drain is one of the most common causes. This happens when food particles or other debris clog up the drain hose, which can lead to ice buildup and, eventually, water leaking out of the freezer and refrigerator.

Many times the problem is as simple as having the dryer vent cleaned properly and professionally. As well as being inconvenient, this build-up of lint is a potential fire hazard, and should not be taken lightly. Alternatively, there could potentially be a malfunction inside the dryer that is preventing the proper heat from being attained so the dryer should be inspected.

Our technicians will do a full diagnostic check to see if your appliance is worth repairing. Our technicians have many years of experience in being able to diagnose the problem, and they will give you the truthful answer and a professional one at that. They will let you know if the cost of repair is better than the price of replacing it.
